Meet Bhaskar Ravishankar, Senior Test and Verification Engineer

“Engineers dive deep and I love that, but I always try to zoom out and see the world we’re building. That’s perspective. Life taught me that.” - Bhaskar Ravishankar, Senior Test and Verification Engineer

Bhaskar Ravishankar brings engineering brilliance with a rare ability to connect the dots between technical insight and real-world impact. With a PhD in electrical engineering and career stops across three continents, he is someone who not only thinks deeply but also sees broadly. “Perspective is what life gave me,” he says. “It helps me understand the role of engineering in the bigger picture.”

At Salvia BioElectronics, Bhaskar’s role as Senior Test and Verification Engineer places him in the middle of the action. “Whatever the team has designed, my job is to ask: does it work? Is it good enough for the FDA, and ultimately, for the patient?”

His technical journey began in India, where he was part of a startup in Bangalore focused on data acquisition systems. Later, during his doctoral research in Minnesota, he collaborated closely with clinicians in the Department of Urology at the University of Minnesota. He was developing quantitative methods using signal processing techniques to improve the diagnosis of overactive bladder syndrome, working side by side with medical experts to translate pressure signals into clinical insights. “It was about finding the essence of the data, shaping it into something meaningful for diagnosis and treatment.”

Bhaskar spent more than a decade in Minneapolis, the MedTech capital of the United States, where he worked at Medtronic, one of the most respected names in the industry. “I learned how to work in strong, highly regulated environments where precision and accountability are non-negotiable.”

His move to Salvia in Eindhoven came after an unconventional but bold approach. Instead of sending a resume, Bhaskar contacted CEO Hubert Martens directly via LinkedIn. A 40-minute conversation followed. “There were no openings at the time, but Hubert said, ‘I think we can find something for you.’ That moment of connection, that genuineness, really stuck with me.”

Now based in Eindhoven, he describes the transition from the United States to the Netherlands as surprisingly smooth. “What took me seven or eight years to build in Minnesota, a sense of belonging, I have found here in just six months.”

Page Title (H1)

Header (H2)

A subheading or chapter heading (H3)

Introductory text or a first paragraph of information on this subject. Write as naturally as possible and be nice and specific. If necessary, use AI software to help you get started, but definitely don't use it one-on-one. Search engines can penalize AI content.

Subheading (H4)

Here too there is more than enough room for a good story, an interesting article or background information. If necessary, use a summary:

  • a summary is clear
  • one can see the benefits or features at a glance
  • also use search terms if necessary

Another topic (H3)

Another subheading (H4)

Do not use a Title Header (H1), but use an H2 Header instead. An H1 is actually a title of the page and may only appear once on a web page. The H2 is a kind of chapter and the other headers (H3 to H6) are subheadings and subheadings within the chapter. The order is important for the readability of visitors and search engines.

  1. a summary is clear
  2. one can see the benefits or features at a glance
  3. also use search terms if necessary

This way everything remains easy to read and understandable for the reader. People can also scroll directly to the topic they are interested in.

Paragraph heading style (H5)

This is another example of a heading. The headings H5 and H6 are usually used as paragraph headings, each with their own style.

Paragraph heading style (H6)

In the editor you can really see a difference in font size of all headers, but on the live website they have their own style.

Other options

Use a "quote". That looks like this:

This is a quote!

You can also put texts in bold, italic, etc.
Of maak een link naar een andere pagina of website.
And finally, you can also create Superscript(1) and Subscript(2) text.

Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit. Suspendisse varius enim in eros elementum tristique. Duis cursus, mi quis viverra ornare, eros dolor interdum nulla, ut commodo diam libero vitae erat. Aenean faucibus nibh et justo cursus id rutrum lorem imperdiet. Nunc ut sem vitae risus tristique posuere.
