Meet Aniruddha Phatak, Senior Process Development Engineer

“My main mantra in the industry is ‘burning desire is all we need to achieve excellence" - Aniruddha Phatak, Senior Process Development Engineer
Aniruddha “Andy” Phatak’s fascinating career spans continents and disciplines, taking him from India to Salvia. Along the way, he published an MS thesis downloaded in 71 countries, assisted in spinal surgeries on cadavers, and became an ISO 13485 Lead Auditor, performing audits across the U.S and India.
Andy’s U.S. journey included stops at Rochester Institute of Technology, Poughkeepsie, Warsaw, Indiana—known as the Orthopedic Capital of the World—and Boston. Each location tested his resolve, especially as someone who had never seen snow before. “In Rochester in 2013, I prayed for no snow, but it turned out to be one of the coldest springs, with ‘feels like’ temperatures near -40°C.”
After earning his MS in Mechanical Engineering at RIT, Andy started his medical device career at Zimmer Biomet in Warsaw as a packaging validation engineer. “In remediation projects, you’re exposed to many challenges in a short time,” he says. He then worked in Boston as a QA/Design Quality Engineer at Axiomed. Andy returned to India briefly as a QA Consultant for Futurol before working as an EU MDR Consultant for Boston Scientific. In 2023, he moved to the Netherlands to work on insulin pumps.
Andy brings to Salvia a blend of technical expertise and soft skills, with experience in knee, trauma, hip, and spinal implants, as well as endoscopic and delivery devices. At Salvia, he’s focused on establishing robust cleanroom manufacturing processes for compliant production of the implants Salvia is developing.
On a personal level, Andy enjoys hip-hop and Bachata dancing, often choreographing Bollywood routines with his wife, an Indian classical dancer. He also loves football, tennis, and chess.
At work, Andy bridges the gap between manufacturing and quality teams. “Manufacturing wants to bring the product to market quickly, while quality insists on compliance. I mediate, ensuring smooth functioning and optimized teamwork."
“I feel grateful and proud to work on such a high-tech neuromodulation device that could make a difference in the lives of people with migraine.”
Page Title (H1)
Header (H2)
A subheading or chapter heading (H3)
Introductory text or a first paragraph of information on this subject. Write as naturally as possible and be nice and specific. If necessary, use AI software to help you get started, but definitely don't use it one-on-one. Search engines can penalize AI content.
Subheading (H4)
Here too there is more than enough room for a good story, an interesting article or background information. If necessary, use a summary:
- a summary is clear
- one can see the benefits or features at a glance
- also use search terms if necessary
Another topic (H3)
Another subheading (H4)
Do not use a Title Header (H1), but use an H2 Header instead. An H1 is actually a title of the page and may only appear once on a web page. The H2 is a kind of chapter and the other headers (H3 to H6) are subheadings and subheadings within the chapter. The order is important for the readability of visitors and search engines.
- a summary is clear
- one can see the benefits or features at a glance
- also use search terms if necessary
This way everything remains easy to read and understandable for the reader. People can also scroll directly to the topic they are interested in.
Paragraph heading style (H5)
This is another example of a heading. The headings H5 and H6 are usually used as paragraph headings, each with their own style.
Paragraph heading style (H6)
In the editor you can really see a difference in font size of all headers, but on the live website they have their own style.
Other options
Use a "quote". That looks like this:
This is a quote!
You can also put texts in bold, italic, etc.
Of maak een link naar een andere pagina of website.
And finally, you can also create Superscript(1) and Subscript(2) text.
