Faces of Salvia

Meet Pete, our Principal Field Clinical Scientist

article

Peter Morris, or Pete as he's more commonly known, has had an impressive career in healthcare. His journey began in the UK where, after living in the charming Cotswolds, life took him to Bristol to study neuroscience. Little did he know that this academic path would lead him to an exciting career in neuromodulation. Throughout his career, Pete has had the privilege of working with a number of exciting healthcare companies. It was in these professional environments that he first encountered the profound impact of neuromodulation.

"Seeing this technology in action was like love at first sight, and I was hooked."

Pete's enduring passion for travel has been a constant companion throughout his career, taking him not only to the UK but also to the Nordic countries, Spain, Italy and Belgium. Then, one serendipitous day, a colleague introduced him to Salvia.

What attracted you to Salvia?
"What really stood out was their unwavering commitment to putting the patient first. It's a simple principle (a no-brainer) and I embraced it wholeheartedly.” But there was another aspect that sparked his enthusiasm...

"It was undoubtedly the team. Meeting Wim (Chief Medical Officer), Anja (Clinical Director) and the leadership team left quite the impression. They are inspiring innovators. I was eager to join them in our mission to help people with migraine and cluster headache.”

And so Pete's career move was just that. From his base in Spain, he travels the globe on behalf of Salvia, interacting with the first patients in clinical trials and attending international conferences. Salvia is currently conducting its first clinical trials in Belgium and Australia. "I truly believe that this is the most rewarding role within the company: seeing first-hand how patients respond to the treatment is truly amazing.”

Pete appreciates the sense of togetherness he has discovered within the Salvia team in the Netherlands. "For the first time in a decade I have my own desk and I'm not even based in this country! It feels like being part of a family.”

Page Title (H1)

Header (H2)

A subheading or chapter heading (H3)

Introductory text or a first paragraph of information on this subject. Write as naturally as possible and be nice and specific. If necessary, use AI software to help you get started, but definitely don't use it one-on-one. Search engines can penalize AI content.

Subheading (H4)

Here too there is more than enough room for a good story, an interesting article or background information. If necessary, use a summary:

  • a summary is clear
  • one can see the benefits or features at a glance
  • also use search terms if necessary

Another topic (H3)

Another subheading (H4)

Do not use a Title Header (H1), but use an H2 Header instead. An H1 is actually a title of the page and may only appear once on a web page. The H2 is a kind of chapter and the other headers (H3 to H6) are subheadings and subheadings within the chapter. The order is important for the readability of visitors and search engines.

  1. a summary is clear
  2. one can see the benefits or features at a glance
  3. also use search terms if necessary

This way everything remains easy to read and understandable for the reader. People can also scroll directly to the topic they are interested in.

Paragraph heading style (H5)

This is another example of a heading. The headings H5 and H6 are usually used as paragraph headings, each with their own style.

Paragraph heading style (H6)

In the editor you can really see a difference in font size of all headers, but on the live website they have their own style.

Other options

Use a "quote". That looks like this:

This is a quote!

You can also put texts in bold, italic, etc.
Of maak een link naar een andere pagina of website.
And finally, you can also create Superscript(1) and Subscript(2) text.

Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit. Suspendisse varius enim in eros elementum tristique. Duis cursus, mi quis viverra ornare, eros dolor interdum nulla, ut commodo diam libero vitae erat. Aenean faucibus nibh et justo cursus id rutrum lorem imperdiet. Nunc ut sem vitae risus tristique posuere.
