Faces of Salvia

Meet Shriya Rangaswamy, our Process Development Engineer

"Thanks to the female role models at Salvia, I also saw opportunities for my own professional and personal growth.”

Shriya Rangaswamy, now a Process Development Engineer, grew up in Bangalore, India. After graduating with a Bachelor's degree in Biotechnology, Shriya sought further knowledge and new challenges. Leaving the bustling city of 8 million behind, she chose Delft, the Netherlands, for her Master's in Biomedical Engineering. After graduation, she worked at a small medical device company and delved into Ph.D. studies, though she ultimately opted for industry experience rather than a full Ph.D. Salvia BioElectronics caught her attention through a tip from her supervisor at TU Delft.

Although there were no job openings, she decided to send an e-mail. "I was quickly invited for a visit, which I hadn't expected at all." During her visit, co-founder Daniel's passionate story resonated with Shriya: "I wanted to be a part of it and immediately felt a sense of purpose, something I was missing." The presence of female role models like Maartje and Monique in the cleanroom also had a lasting impact on Shriya, a contrast to her experience interviewing at larger companies.

Since joining Salvia in 2022, "I have learned so much." Shriya’s focus is on implementing concepts developed in the research and engineering line towards the production line (in the cleanroom), aiming at process and product reliability. More than that, the ultimate mission is to focus on helping people with migraine. "This is fulfillment."

For Shriya, the connections she's made at Salvia and through the Social Club - an employee-led initiative that organizes events - are invaluable. "In a new city, new house, new job, I've found a great support system at work, people who have my back." Although she prefers Delft to Eindhoven ("I just really like Delft, haha"), she cherishes the connections in her new professional and personal journey.

Page Title (H1)

Header (H2)

A subheading or chapter heading (H3)

Introductory text or a first paragraph of information on this subject. Write as naturally as possible and be nice and specific. If necessary, use AI software to help you get started, but definitely don't use it one-on-one. Search engines can penalize AI content.

Subheading (H4)

Here too there is more than enough room for a good story, an interesting article or background information. If necessary, use a summary:

  • a summary is clear
  • one can see the benefits or features at a glance
  • also use search terms if necessary

Another topic (H3)

Another subheading (H4)

Do not use a Title Header (H1), but use an H2 Header instead. An H1 is actually a title of the page and may only appear once on a web page. The H2 is a kind of chapter and the other headers (H3 to H6) are subheadings and subheadings within the chapter. The order is important for the readability of visitors and search engines.

  1. a summary is clear
  2. one can see the benefits or features at a glance
  3. also use search terms if necessary

This way everything remains easy to read and understandable for the reader. People can also scroll directly to the topic they are interested in.

Paragraph heading style (H5)

This is another example of a heading. The headings H5 and H6 are usually used as paragraph headings, each with their own style.

Paragraph heading style (H6)

In the editor you can really see a difference in font size of all headers, but on the live website they have their own style.

Other options

Use a "quote". That looks like this:

This is a quote!

You can also put texts in bold, italic, etc.
Of maak een link naar een andere pagina of website.
And finally, you can also create Superscript(1) and Subscript(2) text.

Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit. Suspendisse varius enim in eros elementum tristique. Duis cursus, mi quis viverra ornare, eros dolor interdum nulla, ut commodo diam libero vitae erat. Aenean faucibus nibh et justo cursus id rutrum lorem imperdiet. Nunc ut sem vitae risus tristique posuere.
